The fundamental aim of the foundation is to contribute to existing efforts to inprove the living conditions and well being of the population of zambezia in the following ways:

In the area of education:

• =//> Supporting long and short-term scholarships, prioritizing orphans, young girls and High performing students.
• =//> Contributing to improvements in teacher training
• =//> Contributing to the broadening and improvement of informal education (literacy and raining courses within and outside the country).

In the are of health:

• Contributing to the struggle to address hiv/aids, sdts malaria and other illinesses through awareness-raising campaigns, provision of medicines and professional training

In the area of agricultures:

• Supporting rural extension programmes
• Distribution of improved agricultural seeds
• Construction of dams
• Increasing access to land for associations in the rural sector

In the area of infrastructure:

• Supporting the maintenance of roads and other access routes
• The construction of health posts, school, wells and other kinds of social infrastructure

Activities

To achieve these objectives, fdz will strive to raise awareness at all levels of the need to improve socio-economic conditions in the province through the following activities:

• Research aimed at deepening understanding of the socio-cultural and economic realities of Zambézia
• Developing collective action to promote sustainable development in the province
• Motivating communities to participate in the search for solutions to the problems relating to their welfare
• Creating mechanisms aimed at enhancing school attendance of young girls and boys
• Establishing partnerships and exchanges with other foundations and institutions
